On January 1, 2004 the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act ("PIPEDA") came into force with application to all businesses in Canada. PIPEDA, together with new or existing privacy legislation in B.C, Alberta and Quebec regulates the collection, use and disclosure of personal information for all organizations in Canada.
BRC in its operations, has limited access to personal information but has established a policy that disclosure of any such information it acquires linked to a person shall be done by the BRC or any of its employees, only with the express permission of the affected person. By providing an email address at the time of registration, the registrant consents to receiving future emails from the BRC about upcoming BRC events.
If you have any questions or concerns about how your privacy is protected at the BRC, contact Catherine MacDonald at 647-217-0426 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
